Power Outage
1-877-FLEC-ORG
When you call FLEC for any type of service or information, please use our new phone number (1-877-FLEC-ORG or 1-877-353-2674). This is a toll free number.
It is also very important that you update your phone number with us. This both allows us to contact you and you to contact us to report an outage. Our new Outage Management System (OMS) allows you to quickly report an outage and the OMS recognizes your location by the phone number we have in our customer information database. For this reason, it is very important that you notify us if your phone number changes.
If your power goes out, first check the main circuit breaker inside and outside your home. If the problem then appears to be on FLEC’s lines, notify us of the outage.
Please have the following information when you call:
- Name on account
- Street address
- FLEC account number
- Phone number of outage location
- Phone number where you can be reached if different from outage
- Cause of the outage if you know
After reporting the outage, you should activate contingency plans for life-support patients if this applies to you.
When you call to report an outage, the OMS can recognize your location by your phone number, account number or meter number. If you do not know any of this information and the OMS doesn’t recognize your phone number, you may choose to leave a message with more detailed outage information for the dispatcher. All outages are immediately reported to the dispatcher so your power may be restored as quickly as possible.
