TVA rate increase coming in Oct.

In August the Tennessee Valley Authority board of directors approved a 1.5% rate increase for residents and businesses in the Tennessee Valley. This increase is proposed to aid in new power capacity and environmental enhancements. This adjustment will pass through to all members of Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative (FLEC). However, no additional increases have been added by FLEC. This rate change will result in members seeing their monthly electric bill increase by approximately $2 - $4. The new electric rates will go into effect Oct. 1.
