Storm Restoration Update 2/19/15

Storm restoration update:

Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative is continuing to work around the clock to repair damage done by the ice storm on Monday. There are more than 45 crews working today.  We have over 100 men who have come to assist us.  This assistance has come from our neighboring utilities as well as from Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama.

Barring any further weather related outages, FLEC hopes to have the majority of their members’ power restored by this weekend. Due to the cold temperatures that are forecasted tonight, if your power is not restored by late this afternoon, you are urged to consider seeking shelter with family, friends, or consider going to a shelter in your area. Sequoyah High School is open in Monroe County. Monte Vista Church are open in Blount County. Memorial Building, Blairland Baptist Church, and New Providence Church are all open in Loudon.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. Our crews are facing dangerous conditions and brutal weather, and will continue to work around the clock until all the power has been restored.
