Stewardship Award Presented to NWTF

On January 23rd, Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative (FLEC) presented a Stewardship Award to the Southern Appalachian Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) at their local banquet held at Sequoyah High School.  Over the past 11 years the NWTF has partnered with the US Forest Service's Tellico District, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Quail Forever (QF) , the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and FLEC to manipulate and promote wildlife opening sustainment under FLEC's lines in the Cherokee National Forest and on TVA lands around the Tellico Lake.  The funds raised at the annual banquet assists in these partnerships.  Jarrod Brackett said, "Thanks NWTF for helping us keep our cost down as we promote wildlife habitat and power reliability, everybody wins!"
