LED Security Lighting Now Available

7/15/2014

Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative (FLEC) will now offer light-emitting diode (LED) lighting to its members.  Recently the Board of Directors/Trustees of FLEC approved the offering of three (3) NEW outside lights for its membership.  These additions will provide the member with the opportunity to use the newer LED technology which is more energy efficient and longer lasting than most traditional lighting sources.  In most cases this computes out to less cost to the member annually.  Two of the LED lights offered are for underground decorative lighting displays; the third light is an option to be considered for most small residential and business lighting needs.  Please contact FLEC offices at 1-877-353-2674 for more information about LED lights.

Also, FLEC will be implementing a small increase in monthly lighting costs effective the first of August.  In accordance with required auditing of costs for providing outside lighting service, it was recognized that the monthly facility charge for all types of outside lighting is inadequate to cover the costs of service today.  The increase will range from 4 to 13 cents per day, depending on the type of lighting utilized.  TVA has approved this adjustment and members can expect to see the increase on their August and September bills.  FLEC provides lighting at cost to the membership.

Last, please notify FLEC of any lights that are not functioning properly.  The Cooperative holds the reliability of service to a high standard and strives to continue to assist in providing a better quality of life for our membership as your local private, non-profit electricity provider.

Any questions can be addressed by calling FLEC’s offices at 1-877-353-2674, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
