FLEC Helps With Michael Relief Efforts

Wednesday, Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative (FLEC) sent ten (10) men to assist any Georgia cooperatives affected by Hurricane Michael.  Mitchell EMC in South Georgia awoke early Thursday morning to find almost all of the 25,000 members it serves without power.  Through the cooperative mutual aid agreements, FLEC crews were ready to assist.

Jarrod Brackett, FLEC's CEO, stated, "We got a call from their manager and we're glad to assist...they would do the same for us, and some have already when we have had ice or tornadoes."  Brackett advised that, "FLEC is blessed to have men and women who want to help others when the need arises!  Please keep these men and there families in your thoughts and prayers as they work to restore power and life to normal over the next few days in this part of our country that has been hit hard."

FLEC asked for your patience in conducting work in our local communities while some of our resources are used to help others recover from Michael.
