FLEC Discusses Economic Impacts of COVID-19

At Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative (FLEC), we are committed to providing safe and reliable services to our community. We also understand that those services are crucial to the well-being of individuals and businesses in our area.

FLEC has always strived to assist its Membership when it is knowledgeable and capable.  As of March 23, 2020, we have been working with Members experiencing financial hardship due to the coronavirus COVID-19 threat.  We will continue to leave reminder notes on past-due accounts per regulatory requirements and disconnect services when the residential or business Member have not responded or made arrangements.

Utility bills will continue to accrue and we encourage customers to make payments if able. As a part of the ongoing effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19, we are asking Members to please conduct your business with FLEC remotely and not come to the office.  You may pay on-line, by U.S. Mail, utilize some local bank drive-through windows, utilize FLEC’s drop boxes in Vonore and Friendsville, or use the kiosks in Tellico Plains and at the office in Vonore also.

Normal activities and fees per FLEC policies will apply otherwise, at this time.

If you are under financial hardship, please call our offices before your due date in order to make a payment agreement.  As always, please call us at 1-877-353-2674, or visit to learn more about payment options and assistance.
