COVID-19 Update and FLEC's Current Status

To Our Valued Members:

We wanted to update everyone concerning Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative (FLEC) and the COVID-19 situation since the virus has been confirmed to be present in the communities we serve. The current day to day operations at FLEC will continue with a proactive approach to the outbreak. At this time, we are anticipating a few weeks of necessary social distancing to be required for this biological storm to pass. We are blessed with a network of utilities and companies nationally that have assured us that they are ready to assist, should any electrical need arise.

Being proactive, we have taken some actions and ask you to assist us. We have been abiding by recommended guidelines concerning social distancing to minimize exposure to the public and our workforce. Effective Monday, March 23, we ask our membership to assist us in this endeavor by refraining from coming to our offices to interact face-to-face, unless absolutely necessary. Currently, FLEC offers several options to conduct business remotely. Options include payment of bills at some local bank drive-thru windows, by U.S. mail, online through our website (www.flec.org), by setting up direct withdrawal or prepay options, by using the drop boxes at the FLEC office in Vonore or the Friendsville City Hall, or by using the kiosk located at the Sav-a Lot in Tellico Plains and at the FLEC office. Inevitably, our folks will still be forced to perform some actions face-to-face; please help us reduce any possible exposure to sickness and we will do our best to sustain the quality of life you have grown to expect.
